The device will be available in the market in three variants on the basis of the memory capacity. There will be three versions present and they are the 8GB, 16GB and the 32GB version.
The company recently stated that they have scrapped their plans of launching the Galaxy Nexus, the first handset with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in India and that has cause widespread disappointment among the Samsung fans in India. The launch of this device seems to be a consolation to this and it is left to be seem if the tablet is able to live up to the expectations of the customers or it sinks under the disappointment that has been created due to the Galaxy Nexus not being released.
As far as the price of this tablet is concerned, the company is tight lipped about it but we are expecting this device to be priced around 23 grand and that seems to be slightly on the higher end.

How to Set Up a VPN Connection on the MAC OS X Lion Operating System

Apple introduce the first update to the MAC OS X operating system in July of 2011. Upgrading to OS X 10.7 Lion from the previous operating system version created some issues with VPN users, particularly those who utilized the Cisco VPN client to access university VPN servers. The Cisco VPN client that ran without issue on the previous version of OS X, became inoperable as the result of the MAC operating system upgrade.

Until a newer, compatible version of the Cisco VPN client is made available to users of OS X Lion, there is a workaround for setting up the VPN connection on a MAC. New laptop deals will now be shipped with the Lion OS. Following the same steps will configure the VPN clients for new laptops, as well as VPN clients produced by other manufacturers.

First, make sure any client software is installed on the MAC before starting the set up process. If using the Cisco client, make sure the client is installed prior to walking through the set-up steps. Some VPN servers will not require special software to access the VPN. Check with the institution's network administrator to see whether access to your institution's VPN requires a the installation of additional software. If software is needed, the institution will most likely provide the application free of charge.

Follow these steps to set up the VPN client to access an institution's VPN servers and establish a secure connection with the VPN server.

Step 1

Click the "Apple" icon located in the upper left corner of the desktop, and then click the "System Preferences" option. The System Preferences option is the fourth option listed when the Apple icon is clicked.

Step 2

Click the "Network" option in the "Internet and Wireless" category, and then click the "+" sign to expand the option.

Step 3

Click the "VPN" option as the "Interface." In the "VPN Type" input box, type "PPTP." Type the appropriate service name provided by the network administrator for the server into the "Service Name" input box. For example, if accessing the UCLA VPN, Type "UCLA VPN (PPTP)."

Step 4

Make sure the "Configuration" drop-down box has the "Default" option entered. If not, select "Default" from the "Configuration" drop-down menu.

Step 5

Type the IP address to the institutions' VPN server. For the UCLA VPN server, type "pptp.vpn.ucla.edu" This IP address is provided by the institution's network administrator.

Step 6

Type your network user name into the "Account Name" input box.

Step 7

Type your network user account password into the "Password" input box. Note: Only save the password if you are the only user of the computer you are configuring. Otherwise, leave the Password input box empty. Users will be required to enter the password each time the VPN connection is attempted.

Step 8

Check the option to "Show VPN Status in Menu Bar."

Step 9

Click the "Apply" button.

Step 10

Click the "Connect" button to test your newly configured VPN account. If configured correctly, and you have an Internet connection, you will be connected to the institution's VPN server.

Dual core smartphones are not really rare these days and almost all the big wig companies have one or the other smartphone model that houses a dual core processor. The handset was showcased at the MWC 2012 and it managed to garner some interest of the people who attended the event. It was not the only handset to be showcased by Sony as it was accompanied by the Sony Xperia P, which is also a smartphone.

The handset looks quite attractive and the design of the handset is very different from the handsets that are currently available. The handset has the candybar form factor and it is available in a combination of  black and yellow or black and pink. Black is the parent colour that has been used and there is a band of yellow or pink at the end of the handset.

Another very outstanding feature of the external appearance of the handset is that there is the ambient illumination of the transparent element design. This makes the phone have a chameleon like characteristic, which means that it changes colour.  Also, the colour of the user interface and the art on the display change each time the illumination of the screen changes and this is something that no other phone has has till now.

The handset has a NovaThor 1GHz dual core processor and it has a 3.5 inch Reality display that has a native resolution of 480 by 854 pixels. The handset is based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

Apart from this there is 512MB RAM present and the handset has an internal storage capacity of 8GB that seems to be good enough. The downside regarding the memory of the handset is that there is no expandable memory feature as no microSD card slot has been provided.

The Sony Experia U has a 5MP rear facing shooter that has many support features and it is capable of 720p HD video recording, this one feature of the handset is what is most attractive. Also, there is a VGA front facing, secondary camera that will enable the caller to make video calls.

The companies have made the xLOUD surround sound technology integration and thus, the sound quality of the speakers is impeccable. They are perfect for listen to music as well as for speaking on the phone.

Coming to the connectivity options that have been incorported in this handset, there is the A-GPS connectivity that will never let you get lost. Apart from that there is the WiFi with DLNA and hotspot connectivity and a microUSB 2.0 port has been provided as well.

This handset has a rather impressive battery integration for itself. There is a 1320 mAh battery that provides a lot of juice to the handset and it is able to support the handset for up to 260 hours in stanby mode, for 6 hours and 36 minutes in talktime mode and it also enables 45 hours of music play that is clearly incredible.

Being a smarthphone, the battery does not last long and charging at regular intervals is a must, but this does not seem to be the case with this smartphone.

On the whole the handset seems to be a powerhouse of features and when seen in the light of the features that it packs the Sony Xperia U seems to charged reasonably.  What still needs to be seen is, whether the handset will actually live up to its expectations or will it just prove to be another mediocre handset that has been released without putting in much thought about its fate. this seems unlikely, but nothing can be said till we have the device in our hands.

Hackers stolen the VMware source code and published it on-line

Vmware a California, based company providing the virtualization software has became the victim of Computer Hackers. The Computer Hackers stolen the source code of the  ESX virtualization products and published it online. The attack was done by a hacker called Hardcore Charlie claims that he has stolen 300MB of source code. 

The company became aware of the attack on April 23 when the source code got posted online. The company told that there is chance of more source code posting over the Internet. And also there is a little risk still remains for the existing users

 

"The fact that the source code may have been publicly shared does not necessarily mean that there is any increased risk to VMware customers," Iain Mulholland, director of VMware's Security Response Center said in a statement.

Some speculations suggests that the theft may have come from a hacking attack in March on a Chinese import-export company, the China National Electronics Import-Export Corporation (CEIEC), based in Beijing, in which 1TB (1,000GB) of data was copied.

"VMware proactively shares its source code and interfaces with other industry participants to enable the broad virtualization ecosystem today."

Hardcore Charlie confirmed in IRC conversations with Kaspersky that the stolen data can be traced back to the breach of Sina.com server resulting in thousands of email accounts being compromised. He went on to say that he enlisted the help of another hacker, @YamaTough to crack the cryptographic hashes securing the Sina data. Access to CEIEC was later found in emails once decrypted.

"We take customer security seriously and have engaged internal and external resources, including our VMware Security Response Center, to thoroughly investigate. We will continue to provide updates to the VMware community if and when additional information is available," Mulholland continued.

 

 

 

Kaspersky also later confirmed "what appear to be internal VMware communications, pasted onto CEIEC letterhead and with official looking stamps," which Mulholland speculated "were manually added into the company's source code repository to provide context for developers."

Apart from this, there is the Near Fields Communication technology that has been included as well and it enables the user to share data between Galaxy SIII devices at a speed of 300MB per second with the help of the Wi-Fi direct network.
